the best japanese melodic death metal (Gothenburg Death Metal), this guys (and chick) really able to stand next to the melodic death metal legends like in flames (old), arch enemy, etc. tough the vocalist is a woman, she able to sound like other death metal vocalist, and even deeper than regular male vocalist. Tokiko still sounds as vicious and brutal as ever, and she proves once again that a female is very much capable of being an awesome vocalist for death metal. The guitars are melodic, and at the same time very harsh and aggressive. The music is very fast, aggressive, and melodic, all at once. If you like melodic death metal, then I highly recommend this. Shadow is back and they're ready to give you a lecture on what melodic death metal is all about!

While she's music can be labeled as electronic and chiptune, it incorporates elements and flavors from ambient and classical music. Another noticeable effect Lain often creates is that sometimes the music starts to distort, glitch, and lag like a damaged mp3 or CD. This creates an impression of the music being damaged when it really is not. totally high recommended release...

niw, のあのわ is just awesome. Pop-rock band with female vocals and a cello, how awesome. This is their first full-length album after releasing one mini and a single (I believe). Highly recommended. Female voice and a cello that will be nice to hear.

one of my favorite Visual kei band of this year...although this is their first release, it more than enough to prove that their awesome. they mix some element like heavy metal with ethnic sound such as oriental and middle east (I guess it's Egypt theme, judge by their loook) with some cathcy pop to make something new, unique sound. hope you'll like them...
